Design Proposal
My ideas for the retail store I want to create in Auto cad are very simple but also very efficient. I am going to create the building 250 feet by 200 feet to create the 50,000 sq. ft. building. There is going to be an entrance and an exit in the front. Inside will be a storage somewhere in a corner or either in an upstairs or downstairs. I plan to put aisles almost all throughout the building to keep items for sale on and have cash registers in two different corners near the exit. Also, i plan to add a simple bathroom near the storage. If more time is present while making this design, I will add a parking lot in front of the store as well. This store will be a retail store very closely related to super stores such as Target and Walmart.
I have started to create retail store for my next project. This is the general design of the retail store, it is 200 feet by 250 feet creating a 50,000 sq. ft. area. The walls are all 20 feet tall and a foot wide. There are two doors in the front of the store so far and they are sliding doors. One is an entrance and one is an exit.
This is another view of the front of the retail store. It shows the entrance and exit sliding doors placed in the front. They are 12 feet high and 10 feet wide so there is 5 feet on each of the doors for sliding room.
This is an updated view of the store. In the back is the storage room with windows and also the start of the bathroom in the back left. There are also added windows in the front. All windows are a standard window 3 x 5. The storage and the bathroom take up only 25 feet down from the store.
Going step by step on the retail store I started with the bathroom. Its obviously a public bathroom with a window, two toilets, two sinks, and 3 light sources. I'm working on adding stalls and maybe even more toilets. The bathroom is in the top left corner of the store and right next to the storage for convenience for everyone in the store.
Updated view of the store. Added shelves to the storage room which finishes off the storage room and the bathroom which is the back of the entire store. I am currently working on adding light sources all around the store and in the storage as well.
After adding my light sources to the storage room Ive done the material for the walls and the floors. For the floor of the whole entire store is an ivory colored ceramic tile floor. All of the walls within the building and around the building are Mahogany - Solid stained dark with medium gloss.
These are zoomed in photos of my doors and windows in the retail store. The windows are very basic but they are good sizes. It has an arch on the top but the opening part is square. The door is also very basic but have a nice design to it. It is tall and wide and wooden, it also curves on the top on the glass part.
I zoomed in on the storage shelves inside the storage. They are solid glass shelves with a blue purple color. Each row of shelves have a lamp in between them. There are 10 total lights and 9 total shelves and they are about 15 feet each.
I added two counters where the cash registers are going to be, I still have to add the registers but the counters are 4 feet fall and have an opening to enter and exit. Both of them are identical and are located at the bottom left and the bottom right of the store which is right in the front. They are the same material as the shelves in the storage room which is glass with a blueish purple color.
They are 15 feet and 4 feet high.
They are 15 feet and 4 feet high.
This is the cash register I will be adding into my retail store. It has a monitor, a scanner, a keyboard, and also the bottom piece to store the money that will be generated from the customers. There will be 4 around the store, and two on each of the two check out areas.
This is what both of the cash register stands look like. They have two chairs each for the two cash registers each. They have a window, an entrance, and also a stand up lamp. The walls where the cash registers are are made of glass as well.
This is the new design I put into the retail store. I moved both of the cash register areas from the corners to directly near the enterance and exit. I did this for the reason of less theft and also to add a break room for employees.
This is the beginning of the break room i am starting for the employees. It is in the bottom left side of the retail store. It is 25 feet by 80 feet . It is going to be the same material as all of the other walls and will contain almost the same aspects of a kitchen with a table.
This is the finished product of the break room for employees. There are two couches as well as two tables. This room also has many aspects of a kitchen with fridges, freezers, microwaves, tables, etc..
This is the almost finished product of the retail store. I have added lights from outside serving as the sun and also added some lights on the inside but still need a lot more.
This is the final design of my retail store. It consists of a break room, two cashier spots with 4 registers, an exit and an entrance, 11 large product shelves, a bathroom, as well as a storage room.
